  • 2 cups of the product are poured into a pan (not aluminum);
  • pour a glass of cold water;
  • leave overnight for swelling;
  • add water until the grains are completely covered;
  • cover with a lid and place on low heat for an hour and a half;
  • Place in a colander to allow the broth to drain into another container.

During the cooking process, you should periodically add water to replace what has evaporated. The strained broth can be used in this form, but oatmeal jelly made from it will be more useful. To do this, the cooled grains are crushed in a blender, poured with the broth and boiled again until a thick consistency is obtained.


  • 4 tbsp. place in a sieve and rinse thoroughly under running water;
  • transferring the oats into a saucepan, fill it with water (0.5 l);
  • put on the stove, bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes over low heat;
  • the broth along with the grains is poured into a thermos;
  • leave for 7 hours and filter.

The decoction itself is used to drink half a glass four times a day before meals, and the steamed grains are again poured with boiling water and infused in a thermos for 2 hours. The resulting water is used for washing.

If the thermos is large, you can prepare the decoction for several days and store it in the refrigerator. The required amount of the drink is heated in a water bath (but under no circumstances in a microwave oven).

In this recipe, you need to use unrefined grain without black spots. It is separated from the husk and filled with boiled, slightly cooled water. The container with the seeds is placed in a warm place and kept for several days. When the grains sprout, they should be washed again, dried and placed in a coffee grinder to grind into flour.

If the body takes lactose, you can cleanse yourself with a decoction prepared with milk diluted with water in equal proportions. Take 1 part oat grains to 3 parts boiling liquid and cook for 3 minutes. Then leave for half an hour under the lid and filter through gauze (in 3 layers).

You need to drink a cup of decoction - on an empty stomach, half an hour before lunch and 3 hours after dinner. The prepared decoction is taken daily for 2 months, then a break is taken for 30 days and the course is resumed. Cleansing is recommended 2 times a year.


Before treating the liver, it is recommended to cleanse the intestines, as toxins will be released into it. Oatmeal broth prepared according to the above recipe is taken regardless of food. You need to drink 2 glasses a day, distributing them evenly into 4 doses. First add 1 tbsp honey to the broth. for half a liter of drink.

Decoctions can also be prepared with corn silk, birch buds, lingonberry leaves and rose hips (2 tbsp each), as well as 3 tbsp. unrefined oat grains and knotweed. Prepare the drink this way:

  • pour clean water (4 l), cover with a lid and put in the refrigerator for a day;
  • the rose hips are brought to a boil in a liter of water and also left for 24 hours;
  • the oat infusion is poured into an enamel pan, placed on the stove and brought to a boil;
  • Stigma and knotweed are added to the broth and simmered on fire for a quarter of an hour;
  • After removing from the stove, cool and mix with rosehip drink.

The decoction is drunk immediately before meals, following the following scheme: 1st day - ¼ cup, 2nd day - ½ cup, on the 3rd and subsequent days - 2/3 cup. Duration of treatment – ​​1 week.


The fact that oatmeal is the main ingredient in the diet of newborns has already been mentioned above. Oats are also recommended for children in other cases:

  • to reduce temperature during colds;
  • for bronchitis and pneumonia;
  • to improve digestion and metabolism;
  • for iron deficiency anemia;
  • for allergies;
  • for a restful sleep.

For children, it is better to prepare the decoction with milk. Boiling drink (0.5 l) is poured into 100 g of unrefined grains. Boil for half an hour, cool and filter. To make it pleasant for your child to drink the decoction, it is recommended to add a little sugar or honey to it.

The healing drink is taken for a month in dosages according to age:

  • from 6 to 12 months – 1 tsp. in a day;
  • up to 2 years – 1 tbsp;
  • up to 5 years – 1/3 cup;
  • after 5 years - a third of a glass per dose.

When giving a child oatmeal, one should take into account its laxative properties, despite the mucous nature of the product.

Medicinal oat jelly

  • taking oatmeal (1 cup), pour boiled water (1.5 l) and kefir (0.5 cup);
  • cover the container with a lid and wrap it in a warm blanket;
  • insist in a dark place for 2-3 days;
  • when bubbles appear, filter the mixture through a colander 2 times;
  • the final clot is left in the jar for another day.

To prepare jelly, take 1 tbsp. composition, add to cold water and cook to the desired thickness. Before removing from heat, add some salt and a piece of butter.


The recipe for this jelly is quite simple. First, boil the oats (1 cup) in a liter of water until the mixture thickens (you must stir constantly). Before removing, pour in boiled milk (half a liter) and add honey to taste.


Oats have also found their application in cosmetology. There are many recipes to help women become beautiful:

  • Oatmeal decoction is an excellent substitute for shampoo; the composition is rubbed into the roots and evenly distributed over the strands, left for 20 minutes and washed off with warm water;
  • if you add sour cream to the broth, you will get a mask for dry hair; for oily types, soda is an additional component;

Recommendations of the Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy on dietary nutrition for chronic diseases of the liver and gall bladder: leave 1 glass of oats in 3 glasses of water for 10-12 hours, boil over low heat for 1.5 hours until 1/3 of the volume remains. Take 1/2 cup 2 times a day for one month.

Oat decoction for bronchitis. Oats in combination with barley saves from. The resulting decoction with a volume of about 2 liters, light brown in color, should be stored in the refrigerator. Take 1 cup (150 g of decoction) hot every night, adding 1 teaspoon of lard (don’t be afraid, the taste will not change) or butter and 1 teaspoon of honey. This treatment requires some patience, the course of treatment is approximately about a year.

Oat decoction for skin diseases. For dermatoses (diathesis, eczema, psoriasis, systemic lupus erythematosus and skin diseases of diabetic etiology). Take oat decoction as tea during the day, and take oat jelly balm every morning.

Oatmeal jelly recipe. An original Russian village dish, oatmeal jelly is prepared as follows: pour cold boiled water over the cereal (usually 1:1), add a little yeast or a piece of rye bread, and leave to ferment for 12-24 hours (to taste). The saucepan with jelly is wrapped in thick cloth to keep warm. Carefully drain the liquid part, bring it to a boil, and the jelly is ready.
