Documents for obtaining a military ID. What documents are needed to obtain a military ID?

All young people of military age, one way or another, undergo or will undergo a medical examination at the military commissariat. Some of them will have a question - “how does this commission work and what conditions are necessary to obtain the main document military registration- military ID?

In this article we will look at two main questions:

  • - where and how will the conscript undergo this medical examination? How does the procedure itself work?
  • - What should a conscript do to get a ticket? What conditions are needed for this?

What is the medical examination procedure for conscripts?

First, the conscript is summoned to the district office of the Military Commissariat using a special summons. Moreover, according to the law, this can only be done if the conscript does not have any valid deferments from conscription at the time of the call.

The call can be made only during the call deadlines. Accordingly, if you are called during the deferment period or outside the conscription period, then you may not appear at the military registration and enlistment office without any legal consequences for yourself.

Or you can appear and go through all the procedures, however, even in this case, all conclusions and decisions that will be made by the draft commission will not have legal force.

Next, you go to the local commissariat office at the appointed time. Now you need to go through the very first recruiting event. This event is called a medical examination. Conscripts quite often call it a medical board. The purpose of this procedure is to determine your fitness for military service and your health compliance with the requirements of military service.

You will be examined different doctors in 7 main areas of medicine. For each of these areas you will undergo a medical examination. There you will be examined in accordance with the requirements of the disease schedule. This is a special document in which each diagnosis or functional impairment in the functioning of the body correlates with a certain fitness category.

Moreover, we would like to note that it is NOT the responsibility of doctors to make any diagnoses.. They just have to correlate everything medical documents from your personal file with a schedule of illnesses. If the data from your personal file is not enough to determine suitability, then you must be referred for additional medical examination, which will take place in a public hospital.

After determining suitability, doctors issue an appropriate conclusion and pass it on to the members of the draft commission. She, in turn, based on this conclusion, makes a decision either to conscript you for military service or to exempt you from this conscription.

What conditions are required to receive a ticket?

In order to understand what conditions are needed to receive the coveted document, let’s figure out who is entitled to it. So, the issuance of a military ID is carried out only to the following categories of citizens:

  • - Citizens passing or having passed conscript service on call
  • - Citizens passing or having passed contract service
  • - Citizens exempt from conscription and enlisted in the reserves of the RF Armed Forces

Thus, you can get a ticket without undergoing military service only if you have been released from the army. And who is exempted from the army? Young people of conscription age, whom the conscription commission has determined to be of limited suitability. That is, it was established that their health did not meet the requirements military service. From this we can conclude that those conscripts who are engaged in obtaining a ticket should first of all collect evidence of their limited suitability for the army.

A military ID is a document that can be issued to citizens of the Russian Federation in the following cases:

  • conscription;
  • enrollment of a young person in the reserve due to health reasons;
  • admission to study at a military institution;
  • enrollment in the reserve due to reaching the age of 27 years;
  • serving in the army.

The fact of having a military ID usually means that its holder will not perform military service.

What is needed to obtain a military ID?

Depending on the reason for obtaining the ticket, the documents required to obtain a military ID will vary, although a passport will always be needed.

When receiving this ticket due to ill health, as you might guess, an independent medical examination is required. The purpose of such an examination will be to search for the very disease that will make it possible to issue a conclusion that the young man will not be able to serve. If this is found, then you need to go to the military registration and enlistment office for a medical examination. After passing, you will be able to receive a fitness category. If it is “B”, then the subject is considered to be of limited suitability, if “D” - he does not completely meet the requirements for a conscript.

The results obtained already allow the commission to decide whether it is possible (and whether it is necessary) for this young man serve in the army or due to illness he should be enlisted in the reserves.

Anyway this situation will end with the ticket being issued.

In total, there are five categories of readiness for service:

  • category “A” – full suitability for passing, no restrictions;
  • “B” – suitability is “overshadowed” by some restrictions;
  • “B” – expected to be released from the army, there is limited suitability for military service;
  • “G” - it is possible to receive a deferment from service, since there is a temporary unsuitability for service;
  • “D” – this category means complete liberation.

What papers are needed for this?

To get started, you need the following documents:

  1. The first document required for this will be a passport as the main identification document. Using it, it is possible to determine to whom to issue a military ID.
  2. Next, you need two photographs 25x30 mm (b/w). Required condition is the moment that the conscript stands against a white background. Photos must be without corners.
  3. The third, mandatory set of papers is photocopies of the second, third, fifth pages of the passport. Please note that they must all be on one sheet together.

Then you can list what documents are needed, which can be presented if available. This list will include educational diplomas, educational certificates, and driver’s licenses. You should immediately grab photocopies of these documents to leave them with the commission.

If you disagree with the conclusions made by the commission, the conscript can appeal them. This can be done in court or the relevant draft commission.

We receive a military ID at 27 years old. If a man reaches 27 years of age, he can also receive a military ID. To do this, he must be one day older than specified and must submit an application addressed to the head of the military registration and enlistment office department.

Those who have reached the age of twenty-seven and have not served in the army for some reason are removed from the register. Obviously, to prove your age you will need to present not only your passport, but also your birth certificate. Copies of these documents will need to be given to the commission. If all the documents confirm the correctness of the situation, then a corresponding entry is made in the personal file, and the document is certified by a signature. After this, a military ID must be issued within ten working days.

If this ticket is lost, in addition to the usual documents that are brought to receive it, you need to add medical examination(if the ticket was issued due to health) or a certificate of loss. As with any other document, if you lose your ticket, you will have to contact the same military registration and enlistment office where you received the first one. You can do this in person or send an application (written according to a special template) by mail. Be prepared to have to explain the reason for the loss of the document, the approximate place and time. A certificate of loss will be issued to law enforcement agencies. After this, you will have to pay a fine of 1,000 rubles. It is possible that the fine will be waived (usually if you immediately contact the military registration and enlistment office about the loss of the document).
