If you didn't join the army. What does the term “probation” mean? Procedure for conducting a medical examination

The expression “for those who are for” usually implies a significant age - over 40, over 50, and so on. But this article examines a slightly different age limit. Namely, only men over 18.

That is, guys of military age. But the article itself is very useful, especially since the next autumn call. Read it.

As a rule, only people with obvious and severe pathologies, such as mental retardation, schizophrenia, blindness, deafness, missing limbs, etc., are completely unsuitable for the army.

In other cases, the question is either about treatment (then a delay is given and then a re-examination is required), or about the degree of dysfunction of certain organs.

Severe dysfunction (slurred speech, urinary and fecal incontinence, heart failure, etc.) is a reason for transfer to the reserve. In controversial cases, the decision remains with the medical commission.

Severe infections

Active pulmonary and extrapulmonary tuberculosis, HIV infection, leprosy - people with such diagnoses are not accepted into the army. Tuberculosis and syphilis can be cured, after which additional examination will be required.

Intestinal infections, bacterial and viral diseases, transmitted by arthropods, rickettsioses, gonococcal, chlamydial infection, some mycoses (diseases caused by fungi) and other infections with initial detection at the medical examination will serve as the reason for sending for treatment. If the infection cannot be treated, the conscript is considered unfit for service.

Neoplasms

Malignant and benign neoplasms serve as a contraindication to military service if the tumor is not subject to radical removal, there are metastases or significant dysfunction of any organs.

In addition, those who refused therapy for a tumor will not be accepted into the army. Persons undergoing treatment for neoplasms will be given a deferment and will be subject to re-examination in the future.

Obesity

Persons with obesity of 3 and 4 degrees are not suitable for military service. They are asked to undergo treatment, during which they are given a deferment. If treatment does not help, upon re-examination a conclusion is made about unfitness for service.

Diabetes

WITH diabetes mellitus of any form and any degree of severity, even in the absence of complications, are not accepted into the army. The disease cannot be cured, but corrected metabolic disorders in conditions military service does not seem possible.

Other endocrine diseases

Diseases thyroid gland, pituitary gland, adrenal glands, parathyroid and gonads, eating disorders, hypovitaminosis, gout are also contraindications for military service if they are accompanied by dysfunction of the relevant organs and cannot be controlled replacement therapy. If thyroid disease (goiter) prevents you from wearing military uniform, the conscript is also declared unfit for service.

Underweight (BMI)<18,5) будет причиной для направления на дополнительное обследование у эндокринолога и лечение.

Mental disorders

Mental retardation, personality disorders, schizophrenia, psychosis, delusional and other mental disorders (regardless of the cause of injury: trauma, tumor, infection, etc.) are contraindications for military service, which the conscript’s parents will be informed about by the psychiatrist who has him observed.

Drug and alcohol addiction

Addictions are a contraindication to military service, even in the absence of mental manifestations and symptoms. The diagnosis must be documented after examination in a hospital. In this case, the conscript must be registered and treated at a drug treatment clinic.

Epilepsy

All forms of epilepsy, except symptomatic, that is, those in which convulsive seizures are caused by some kind of brain damage, are a contraindication for conscription service. In case of symptomatic epilepsy, the examination is carried out according to the underlying disease.

Pathologies of the nervous system

Multiple sclerosis, paresis, paralysis, diseases and injuries of the brain and spinal cord, as well as the peripheral nervous system with consequences in the form of disruption of their functions of any degree - the reason for putting “unfit” in the column on military duty.

For temporary disorders of the central or peripheral nervous system, for example after an acute illness, exacerbation of a chronic disease, injury or surgical treatment, a deferment of 6 or 12 months is given. Then a re-examination is required.

Eye pathology

Retinal detachment and tears, glaucoma, severe pathology of the eyelids, conjunctiva, lens and other elements of the eye, strabismus in the absence of binocular vision, severe vision loss, severe farsightedness or myopia and, of course, blindness - all these are contraindications for military service. If the pathology does not cause a significant decrease in vision, the conscript is considered “fit with limitations.”

Hearing and vestibular disorders

Chronic otitis (bilateral or unilateral), bilateral persistent perforation of the eardrum, deafness or persistent hearing loss - these are not allowed into the army. Pathologies that can be cured are sent for treatment, and in the future a re-examination is necessary.

Vestibular disorders of any degree are contraindications for service, but this does not include seasickness and motion sickness in transport.

Heart pathologies

Heart failure (2, 3 and 4 functional classes), rheumatic heart lesions, heart defects, persistent conduction disorders and artificial pacemaker, coronary heart disease are one hundred percent “medical exemptions” from military service.

In case of heart failure FC 1, the conscript is considered “fit with minor restrictions.”

Hypertension and vascular pathologies

If a conscript is found to have an increase in blood pressure above 150/100, he is given a deferment and referred to a hospital for diagnosis. In the future, hypertension of 2 and higher degrees will serve as a medical exemption from service.

With grade 1 hypertension, the conscript is eligible with minor restrictions. With persistent vegetative-vascular disorders and hypotension, the conscript may be considered unfit for service.

In vascular pathology, the degree of disruption of the blood supply and the function of the relevant organs is assessed. If they are not there, the conscript is eligible with restrictions. Hemorrhoids are a contraindication when the process is severe.

Respiratory pathologies

Severe difficulty in nasal breathing, foul-smelling runny nose (ozena), purulent sinusitis with frequent exacerbations, damage to the larynx or trachea, lung diseases with severe or moderate impairment of respiratory function - these will not be taken into the army. If the breathing disorder is not severe, it is “fit with minor restrictions.”

Bronchial asthma

A conscript with bronchial asthma will be sent to the reserves. Moreover, regardless of the severity of the disease, frequency and severity of attacks. Once a diagnosis is made, it is also not removed.

Pathologies of teeth, jaws and digestive system

Absence of 10 or more teeth in one jaw, severe periodontitis and periodontal disease, jaw pathologies with impaired respiratory, olfactory, chewing, swallowing or speech functions; severe forms of colitis, enteritis, fistulas, all pathologies of the esophagus and intestines, accompanied by a violation of their function - all this will give at least a deferment from the army for the duration of treatment, or even force the medical board to write you off as a reserve.

Stomach ulcers and other digestive tract disorders

Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum is a contraindication for military service. With gastritis, a conscript is fit with minor restrictions. In case of hepatitis and pancreatitis, the issue of the severity of the dysfunction is resolved. If a hernia is detected, surgical treatment is proposed, and then re-examination.

Psoriasis and other skin diseases

Psoriasis, systemic lupus erythematosus, common forms of alopecia or vitiligo, chronic urticaria, photodermatitis, scleroderma, ichthyosis, recurrent eczema will save you from military service. With atopic dermatitis, the issue is resolved depending on the frequency of exacerbations.

Curvature of the spine and other bone pathologies

Chronic diseases of the joints and spine, arthritis, osteo- and chondropathy with impaired joint function, scoliosis starting from degree 2, osteochondrosis with damage to 3 or more intervertebral discs, defects of the bones of the cranial vault, defects of the hand and fingers with impaired hand function - all these are reasons to dismiss you in reserve.

With spinal curvature, the question of suitability will depend on its shape, severity and severity of clinical manifestations.

Flat feet

The fate of a conscript with flat feet will depend on the severity of flat feet (its degree) and the presence of concomitant pathologies: arthrosis, contracture, exostoses.

Deformations of the arms and legs (including their significant shortening), which make it difficult to wear military uniforms and shoes, will cause transfer to the reserve.

Developmental defects

Congenital malformations will cause “unfitness for service” if there is a dysfunction of a certain organ (polycystic kidney disease, abnormal development of the genital organs, etc.). If the developmental anomaly does not affect the function (for example, doubling of the kidney while maintaining its function or microtia (congenital underdevelopment of the external ear), the conscript is considered eligible.

Lack of physical development

Height below 150 cm and weight less than 45 kg is a reason to send the conscript to an endocrinologist in order to find out the reason for such a severe lag in physical development. Then treatment and re-examination will be carried out.

Enuresis

Bedwetting is a reason not to join the army. However, the diagnosis requires multilateral medical confirmation: a therapist, urologist, neurologist, dermatovenerologist, psychiatrist.

Stuttering

Stuttering and other speech disorders in which it is difficult to understand or completely incomprehensible to others is a reason for dismissal from the reserve. The severity of stuttering is assessed during long-term dynamic observation in various situations, as well as on the basis of characteristics from the place of work or study.

Consequences of injuries

Injuries to any organs that cause disruption of their function, foreign bodies in the cranial cavity, eyes, mediastinum, abdominal cavity, extensive scars that limit movement in joints and wearing a military uniform, consequences of burns and frostbite - with such a pathology they will not be accepted into the army.

Food allergies

If there is a food allergy to the main foods included in army rations (such as flour products, cereals, potatoes, butter), the conscript is transferred to the reserve. In this case, the presence of allergies must be confirmed by skin tests and a relevant medical history.

Pathologies of the kidneys and reproductive system

Any kidney disease with impaired kidney function, with renal failure.

In case of pathology of the genital organs, the conclusion of the medical board will depend on the severity of the clinical manifestations. If symptoms are mild (for example, one testicle is missing), the conscript will be “fit with minor limitations.” Conscripts with infertility are fully fit for military service.

The head of the Main Center for Military Medical Expertise of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Colonel of the Medical Service Alexander Chaplyuk, tells the story.

Lydia Yudina, AiF: Alexander Leonidovich, there is a joke that only the military registration and enlistment office can accept a man as he is. Do military doctors agree with this?

Alexander Chaplyuk: Of course this is a joke. The main goal of the draft commission is to prevent guys with serious illnesses from entering the service. For this purpose, a multi-stage control system has been built, which allows for the timely identification of such conscripts. The health status of future soldiers is assessed for the first time during initial military registration (at age 17). First, conscripts undergo an examination, followed by a medical examination, in which seven medical specialists (employees of public hospitals and clinics) participate. They jointly give an expert assessment of the conscript’s health status and make a conclusion about the category of fitness for military service (fit, fit with minor restrictions, etc.). Before being sent to the duty station, another medical examination is carried out at the assembly point, which is carried out by a different team of medical specialists. If it is discovered that any disease has been missed or underestimated, the conscript is sent for a control medical examination on the same day.

It must be said that the number of conscripts exempted from military service for health reasons is decreasing. If in 2011 there were 30% of such guys, then according to the results of the 2016 conscription campaigns their share was 22%.

How to challenge the conclusion of the medical commission?

— How often do conscripts challenge their “suitability”? Who acts as an arbitrator in controversial issues?

— The conclusion of the medical commission is challenged quite often. If a conscript believes that his illnesses will not allow him to serve, he is advised to contact the draft commission of his district with a statement of disagreement with the decision of the draft commission. He can also undergo an independent military medical examination or resolve the issue in court.

But if earlier the challenge more often concerned the desire to be exempt from conscription, then recently more and more guys do not agree with the conclusion that they are unfit for service. The prestige of the army is growing every year, military service is no longer scary, but is becoming attractive to young people. Therefore, the number of guys who strive to get into the service at any cost is increasing.

— How often do doctors at recruiting stations have to “turn around” conscripts who want to serve, but hide their diagnosis?

“We don’t keep statistics on such cases, but they have become much more common. Since many guys try to hide their illnesses, doctors conducting medical examinations have to “be on guard” and, in case of any doubts about their health status, refer conscripts for additional outpatient or even inpatient examination at a medical organization, and a conclusion on the category of fitness for military service is made only after complete completion of the examination.

What diseases are not allowed into the army?

— There are diseases, the course of which depends on the climate in which a person lives. Is the diagnosis taken into account when determining the place of duty?

— For conscripts, climate-related requirements for military service have not been established. To determine the place of service of a conscript (in what form, branch of service or separate military unit he can serve), indicators of purpose have been established, which are determined depending on the existing diseases and the degree of their severity. For example, the fitness category “B-3” means that the conscript is fit for military service with minor restrictions - that is, he can serve in anti-aircraft missile military units, as well as as a driver or crew member of an infantry fighting vehicle, armored personnel carrier, etc.).

— Because of what diseases are people most often exempted from military service?

— The structure of diseases, which most often cause deferments and exemptions from conscription for health reasons, is stable and practically does not change. Consistently, the largest number of people released due to diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue (mainly diseases of the spine and feet, well-known scoliosis and flat feet) is 13-14%. Next come diseases of the circulatory system (mainly heart rhythm disorders and hypertension) - 11-12%, diseases of the digestive system (most often peptic ulcers) - 9-10%.

Where are the strongest conscripts in Russia?

— How do military doctors see the health map of Russia? Which regions are the healthiest and which are the sickest?

— Over the past 3 years, the rate of fitness for military service has had a steady upward trend throughout the country. If we compare this indicator in different regions, the least number of conscripts are exempted from service for health reasons in the Southern Military District (based on the results of the 2016 conscription campaigns, the fitness indicator was 87.3%). The strongest conscripts are in the Stavropol Territory, Lipetsk and Penza regions. The lowest fitness rate is in the Central Military District (73.9%). Most of the guys receive exemption from service in the Magadan, Kaluga regions, and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

— Drug addicts are also exempt from military service. Is it always possible to identify them at the draft board?

— During the spring and autumn conscription campaigns of 2016, 1.2 thousand such conscripts were identified (in 2014 - 1.6 thousand people). When examining conscripts, the medical commission includes a psychiatrist, and in some regions, a psychiatrist and narcologist. On the eve of conscription, information is requested on those registered for drug addiction in medical organizations and internal affairs bodies.

— How often do soldiers return early due to health problems?

“We constantly analyze cases of early dismissal of military personnel. Over the past years, their number has remained relatively stable - no more than 0.15%.

Serving in the army is the duty of every adult male citizen of the Russian Federation. The 2018 military conscription has a number of important features, because almost every year new requirements for compulsory military service arise.

Regulatory legal acts define the conditions that must be fulfilled, because military service must be carried out by men who are physically ready for this, and they must also meet conscription age! Defense of the Fatherland in Russia, a multinational country, is strictly obligatory and has always been honorable, but in some regions there are also quite specific and important features for potential conscripts.

Military service in 2018

What are the main features of urgent conscription into the army? All adult male citizens of the country who have no contraindications due to their status or health must serve in Russia. Future conscripts must undergo a whole range of important events that are strictly necessary for everyone:

  • at the age of 16 you must register with the military and receive a registration certificate;
  • Having reached conscription age and received a summons, it is strictly necessary to visit the military commissariat at the designated time;
  • the summons must be delivered personally to the conscript against his signature;
  • In case of failure to appear when summoned, the legislation provides for administrative and criminal liability.

Passing a medical examination

After receiving the summons, a strict medical examination will follow; all future privates of the Russian army will certainly undergo it, except for those with a legal deferment. The medical commission, after a thorough comprehensive examination, will make a decision on whether the conscript is fit for full service in the army. In total, current legislation provides for 5 categories of fitness for military service:

  • fit;
  • suitable with minor restrictions;
  • has limited validity;
  • temporarily unfit for military service;
  • unfit.

It happens when the commission cannot make an unambiguous decision due to various controversial circumstances. In this case, the conscript is redirected to an inpatient or outpatient examination at a licensed medical institution. After complete treatment and the decision of the doctors, a new conscription period is set. The next important step in joining the army will be a medical report. A qualified draft commission will make its final verdict on the conscript. According to this conclusion, the future date is sent to send:

  • for military service;
  • call him up for alternative civil service;
  • grant a deferment;
  • carry out exemption from conscription;
  • enlist in reserve;
  • according to legal grounds, grant freedom from military service.

Russian legislation provides for enlistment in the reserve upon reaching 27 years of age. From now on, a man is not subject to military service, regardless of his state of health.

Duration of service and time of organization of conscription into the army

The conscription dates in the future 2018 provide for two calls - a spring one, which starts on April 1 and ends on July 15, and there is also an autumn one, which will last from October 1 to December 31 inclusive. According to the law, it is only possible to be drafted into the ranks of the armed forces of the Russian Federation during these periods.

Important!

There are several important exceptions to the rules - citizens of military age from the Far North will receive their summons from May 1 to July 15, as well as from November 1 to December 31. Those who live in rural areas and are engaged in harvesting and sowing work have a full right to implement the conscription in the autumn - from October 15 to December 31. Teachers have this opportunity - for spring conscription from May 1 to July 15.

The main branches of the military where they can be called up for service

In 2018, a potential conscript can join the following branches of the military:

  • ground troops;
  • air Force;
  • Navy;
  • strategic missile forces;
  • space forces;
  • airborne troops.

The specialty that the conscript possessed and his state of health are important. Traditionally, only the strongest and most physically resilient young people with a strong psyche and good health are accepted into the Airborne Forces.

Who will not be accepted into the army in 2018?

A citizen will not be required to join the army in 2018 if he:

  • has a permanent job in the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;
  • works in the Federal Security Service;
  • belongs to the Ministry of Emergency Situations workers.

There is the most important limitation - if a citizen nevertheless decides to resign from there, but at that moment he is under 27, then he will definitely receive a mandatory summons from the military registration and enlistment office!

The following will be avoided from conscription into active military service:

  • adult men with one or more convictions that have not been expunged for many years;
  • Citizens under investigation for a crime or on trial will avoid conscription;
  • serving their sentence in a penitentiary institution.
  • A university student will not serve if he receives full-time education;
  • graduate students;
  • the appearance of a second child in a legal marriage;
  • Fathers who, due to insurmountable circumstances, are forced to raise a child on their own and without support are not subject to conscription;
  • guardians of elderly citizens who have sick relatives as their dependents:
  • The ranks of the Russian army will not be filled by young men who have very serious health problems.

Important!

There are several other categories of citizens who may not legally serve in the army - foreigners who served in the armed forces of another state and future military personnel who lost their older brothers during military clashes in hot spots. They will take you into the army if you have been expelled from a university and are studying by correspondence.

Diseases for which they are not called up for service

The diseases for which people are not accepted for military service are quite numerous. They can be divided into several large subgroups.

Diseases of the musculoskeletal system

Disorders of the musculoskeletal system with which they are not accepted into the army - scoliosis of the 2nd degree with a deformation of at least 11 degrees, flat feet, called bear foot in the 3rd stage, deformities and other diseases of the hands or feet - for example, the absence of several fingers, arthrosis and arthritis of the second degree or higher, affecting the legs.

Diseases of the organs of vision

Poor vision is an important barrier to military service: cataracts, retinal detachment, severe myopia more than -6, progressive farsightedness, glaucoma, eye injuries or the absence of one eye.

Cardiovascular pathologies

If a conscript has hypertension - pressure exceeding the threshold of 150 to 90,
chronic vegetative-vascular dystonia, which is quite severe - periodic fainting and constant dizziness, the presence of heart disease and ischemia. We have listed the most important deviations that occur in real practice.

Hearing problems

The presence of chronic otitis media and complete deafness can become an insurmountable obstacle to military service.

Digestive system diseases

Difficulties with the digestive system may well lead to a delay in military service. Such a reason may be a hernia that limits intestinal patency, pancreatitis in its chronic form, stomach and duodenal ulcers, hemorrhoids. Gallstone disease is a serious disease that interferes with service.

Problems with the genitourinary system

Conscripts with chronic enuresis, urolithiasis and hydrocele, sexual dysfunction and hyperplasia are not accepted into the army.

Other chronic diseases

An obstacle to serving will be stuttering, which seriously distorts speech, diabetes mellitus, and obesity above the 2nd degree. Patients with chronic hemorrhoids, tuberculosis, HIV, hepatitis, and cancer are also not useful in combat service. Mental problems are a serious reason for exemption from the army:

  • the appearance of obsessive states;
  • pronounced phobias;
  • chronic schizophrenia;
  • pathologies of the respiratory system.

The presence of chronic alcoholics and drug addicts in the army is contraindicated, but it will be strictly necessary to confirm the presence of constant persistent addiction, which is confirmed by relevant documents!

You can find a complete list of diseases with which you will not be accepted into the army in 2018 (list of diseases).

What categories of citizens are granted a deferment from military service?

A deferment for a potential military personnel is just a temporary opportunity to avoid the obligation to serve in the army. Along with its completion, you will have to repay your debt to your homeland. The following are the official grounds for not going to work for a strictly defined period:

  • state of temporary unfitness for service;
  • caring for a sick relative who currently has no one to look after;
  • presence of a disabled child under 3 years of age;
  • pregnant wife more than 26 weeks pregnant;
  • PhD students defending their dissertation;
  • deferment due to study at a higher or secondary educational institution;
  • deferment for a schoolchild who must receive time to enter a university or college.

Important!

The deferment will be carried out only if you have the necessary documents - a diploma of education, a certificate of admission to graduate school, a medical certificate indicating the presence of serious health problems

The number of deferments available is unlimited - you can get them not only after graduating from school, but also when a student transitions from a bachelor's to a master's degree system. You can only take advantage of a deferment for conscription when studying at an officially licensed institution!

Various forms of military service

Since 2017, the state has provided conscripts with the opportunity to independently choose the form of fulfilling their military duty to the country. Can choose:

  • alternative service for a period of 21 months;
  • contract service with full monetary and clothing allowance;
  • serve conscript service for a year.

By 2018, you can independently choose which military service is more attractive to you.

Important!

It is planned to gradually reduce the proportion of conscripts in the army, gradually replacing them with professionals. By 2020, more than 85% of its personnel should serve in the army on a contract basis.

Features of conscription into the army in 2018

According to the constitution, men from all regions of Russia are subject to military service, but there are several features of conscription. Conscripts from Crimea serve only on the territory of their peninsula, and in the Chechen Republic for several previous years, young men were not conscripted due to some local specific features. People from Chukotka, the Yamalo-Nenets District and Yakutia must serve, but conscription there is adjusted, starting only on May 1 and ending on July 15. In terms of its duration in 2018, the service life will remain the usual - 1 year.

Neoplasms

Malignant and benign neoplasms are a contraindication to military service if the tumor cannot be radically removed, there are metastases or significant dysfunction of any organs.

In addition, those who refused therapy for a tumor will not be accepted into the army. Persons undergoing treatment for neoplasms will be given a deferment and will be subject to re-examination in the future.

If a disease of the thyroid gland (goiter) prevents the wearing of a military uniform, the conscript is also considered unfit for service.

Epilepsy

Bedwetting is a reason not to join the army. However, the diagnosis requires multilateral medical confirmation: a therapist, urologist, neurologist, dermatovenerologist, psychiatrist.

Stuttering

Stuttering and other speech disorders in which it is difficult to understand or completely incomprehensible to others is a reason for transfer to the reserve. The severity of stuttering is assessed during long-term dynamic observation in various situations, as well as on the basis of characteristics from the place of work or study.

Consequences of injuries

Injuries to any organs that cause disruption of their function, foreign bodies in the cranial cavity, eyes, mediastinum, abdominal cavity, extensive scars that limit movement in the joints and wearing a military uniform, consequences of burns and frostbite - with such a pathology they will not be accepted into the army.

In what cases is a person fit for military service granted a deferment from the army upon the birth of a child? Will the dad of 1 toddler or only two or three be able to use it? Can special circumstances help, such as disability or expecting another baby? In this article you will find ready-made answers to all questions regarding the conscription of young parents.

A father with a child is entitled to a postponement of military service in accordance with the Federal Law “On Military Duty and Military Service”. The law states that in some situations the birth of a child is a compelling argument for legally avoiding repaying one’s debt to one’s homeland for a year. It is important to familiarize yourself with the specific conditions of this basis in order to competently exercise your right and not violate the legislation of the Russian Federation.

How to legally obtain a “children’s” deferment from military service?

An increasing number of young people are interested in the possibility of postponing the draft. Hundreds of men who are drafted ask whether they will be drafted into the army with two children, will they be given a deferment while they are waiting for paternity or not? What can you count on after a citizen has his first heir?

In order not to get into trouble and delay conscription on a legal basis, you need to read Article 24 of Federal Law No. 53 “On Military Duty and Military Service” and also prepare documents. If the package of documents is completed incorrectly, you will not be able to postpone your military service.

Deferment from the army at the birth of a child can be granted in certain situations:

  • Single fathers who raise heirs without the participation of their mother.
  • Parents of two (or more) children.
  • If you have a child with a disability, under the age of 3 years.
  • If the legal wife is pregnant for the second time for at least 26 weeks.

Please note that a deferment is provided only with documentary evidence of the relevant marital status. You need to confirm your right annually, because deprivation of paternal rights, death of children and other reasons change the status of a man according to the law.

Do they take the father of one child into the army?

There is no deferment from the army at the birth of the first child. The exception is that the baby was born disabled. Will you be drafted into the army if your wife is pregnant for the first time? Yes, no exceptions. The timing does not matter. However, there are nuances due to which the mother will not be left without help during the absence of the breadwinner.

One-time benefit

If there is a legal marriage, the expectant mother is entitled to a one-time payment to support the woman during pregnancy. To receive this type of benefit, at the time the husband arrives at the military registration and enlistment office, the wife must be at least 26 weeks pregnant.

Monthly financial assistance

While the father serves in the military unit, the mother will receive a specific amount every month to support his offspring. In this case, registration of the relationship is not required - it is enough to confirm the paternity of the called young man.

Can you join the army with 2 kids?

The legislation clearly states that citizens of the Russian Federation who are fathers of two or more children are exempt from service. In this case, it will not be possible to issue a military ID. You will have to confirm your status every year until it expires.

Second early pregnancy

A woman also receives cash benefits while she is expecting her second child. This happens when the pregnancy is too young to postpone. However, it is worth remembering that leave after childbirth will not be provided. The soldier will see his daughter or son only during the required leave.

What documents should I bring so that I won’t be drafted into the army with 2 children, when raising a minor or a disabled person?

You already know if they take two offspring into the army. Now it’s worth remembering what certificates are needed to obtain a temporary deferment of conscription on legal grounds. So, with what papers will a second child become a reason to cancel the draft?

1. If the parents are married

Legally married spouses will be able to postpone their father's conscription if he brings to the commission to the military registration and enlistment office a certificate of his family composition, a son or daughter's birth certificate, a document confirming the registration of the relationship and identity cards. Just in case, it is advisable to make copies of the papers.

2. The father raises the heirs on his own

You don't have to be married to get a deferment from the army with 2 kids. The main thing is that paternity is legitimized accordingly. If for some reason the father is raising his children on his own, he will need the same certificate of family composition and official documents describing the reasons for the situation:

  • Court decision to deprive a woman of parental rights
  • Her death certificate
  • A court ruling that the child remains to live with the father after the divorce.

It doesn’t matter how many children a parent has - one, two or more - in this case the dad is not taken into the army.

What documents must be provided to the parent of a disabled child?

What kind of deferment is a man with a disabled child entitled to? Article 24 states Federal Law No. 53 that he can stay at home until his sick son or daughter reaches 3 years of age. If the baby is almost 3 years old, then the parent will go to the army with the 2nd wave of conscription, in the fall or.

You can confirm the presence of a sick child using:

  • A certificate of family composition taken from the place of residence: father, mother, children.
  • Certificates of the established form, issued at the birth of the baby.
  • Conclusions of a medical examination indicating a childhood diagnosis suggesting a disability.

The children's medical certificate must include the names of the doctors who took part in the examination, their signatures, the seal of the institution, and the date of the examination. The certificate must be submitted annually.

The procedure for obtaining a deferment if the wife is pregnant for the second time

It is taken into account only if the minor son or daughter is alive. If for some reason the parents are deprived of their rights or the previous child has died, then the citizen will have to serve on general terms. The wife can only wait for her husband to return from service and receive financial benefits.

With 2 future children, they will not be accepted into the army if the conscript is married, is the biological or adoptive father of his wife’s first young child, and the gestation period exceeds 6.5 months (180 days). To do this, in 2019 you need to collect and submit to the draft commission:

  • Marriage registration certificates.
  • Birth certificates of the first child.
  • Conclusion of the attending obstetrician-gynecologist on the duration of pregnancy with contact information of the clinic or antenatal clinic and the signature of the head physician, certified by seal.

Do they take you into the army if your wife is pregnant with twins? If 26 weeks have passed since conception and this is officially confirmed by a doctor’s certificate, then the future dad will not go to serve. Otherwise, he will receive early dismissal from service after the birth of twins.

Pregnancy deferment is provided only until the birth of the baby. After this, you will have to re-issue the documents. This does not mean that the man will be called to serve. He will be exempt from military service as a daddy with 2 children.

Preparing a package of documents yourself is not always easy. In certain cases, it is worth contacting a professional lawyer. A specialist in such matters will help resolve the matter in your favor and competently explain the intricacies of the current situation. Now you won’t have a question about whether they draft you into the army with 2 children. A reasonable demand will turn into a one-year deferment until the next draft.
