You just have to eliminate the factors themselves: Limit alcohol and salt intake, especially at night, drink fluids evenly throughout the day, and choose your pillow carefully and change sleeping positions.

You should consult a doctor if:

  • Swelling on the face is observed every day, regardless of the foods consumed and the amount of water drunk, and appears mainly on the lower eyelids.   • the legs, especially the ankles, swell for no apparent reason - this may be a clear hint of problems with the heart.
