To roll out the dough, lay down some cling film, place the dough on top, cover with cling film again and roll out! I even roll it out not with a rolling pin, but with a roll of film. This way the shortbread dough doesn’t stick to the rolling pin and doesn’t crumble! The thickness is about half a centimeter.

You can distribute the shortbread dough into baskets or molds either with your hands from a lump or by making circles in advance. I'm for the latter method. All you have to do is choose a mug of the right size.

Distribute the dough among the molds. The main thing is that the baskets do not have holes. If the shortbread dough crumbles, it’s okay, knead it with your fingers, the butter melts and the dough is elastic again. I advise you to place the dough in several paper molds in a stack, at least 3, otherwise the paper molds will not hold their shape. I have not tried the oven in silicone or iron. I like paper ones because the dough doesn’t burn in them.

How to make fruit filling for shortbread baskets?

You can use absolutely any berries and fruits as a filling!
Place, of course, in cooled baskets. I had garden raspberries from (I also ordered eggs there) and fruit from a regular store.
