Korean carrots in themselves are a wonderful snack, but they also occupy a very worthy place in many dishes. For example, lavash rolls - their filling can be very varied, including Korean carrots. The result is a snack of pita bread with Korean carrots with an interesting and piquant taste that your guests and family will certainly enjoy.

This Korean-style pita bread with carrots is quite easy to prepare and doesn’t take long. All you have to do is make a list of ingredients and prepare this delicious pita bread stuffed with Korean carrots, ham and cheese. By the way, it turns out very economical and inexpensive, so I recommend it with all my heart!

Ingredients:

  • 2 sheets of pita bread;
  • 100 g ham;
  • 100 g Korean carrots;
  • 50 g hard cheese;
  • 3-4 tsp. mayonnaise;
  • greens for decoration.

Preparation:

We need sheet, thin, preferably rectangular or square lavash. Sometimes thin round or oval pita breads are sold, but they are not very suitable for rolls; they need to be trimmed. For the roll we need 2 sheets of pita bread of the same size.

Let's make the filling for the lavash roll - cut the ham into small cubes.

Grate the hard cheese using a medium or coarse grater.

We also cut the carrots in Korean - so that the carrot pieces are not so long.

Grease the first sheet of lavash with mayonnaise (use half of the total amount of sauce). Distribute the mayonnaise over the pita bread using a table knife or the back of a teaspoon - this makes it easier to spread the sauce as evenly as possible.

Place chopped Korean carrots on top of the pita bread with mayonnaise.

Grease the second sheet of pita bread with the remaining mayonnaise and place it on the first sheet (with Korean carrots).

Place grated cheese and cubes of ham on the second sheet of pita bread. The filling should be placed evenly on the pita bread.

Roll the pita bread into a tight roll. We do this carefully so that the filling does not fall out of the roll, and the pita bread itself does not accidentally tear.

Wrap the lavash roll with Korean carrots in cling film or foil and put it in the refrigerator for 40-60 minutes. During this time, the roll will be thoroughly soaked. This is the minimum time for the pita bread to remain in the refrigerator, but if you wish, you can leave it there longer. If I make such a roll for guests, then most often I wrap it in the morning, and in the evening, before serving, I take it out of the refrigerator and cut it.

By the way, about slicing. It is best to do this with a large and sharp knife so that the cut is even and not torn. The optimal thickness of the roll rings is 1-1.5 cm. This way it will not be too thin (and will not fall apart when slicing), and not too thick (and it will be convenient to eat).

A plastic sheet of lavash is a boundless field for culinary experiments, and a Korean-style lavash roll with carrots is a bright and original cold appetizer.

Spicy spicy carrot “noodles” are perfectly complemented by long slices of boiled meat or sausage. The filling needs to be held together with some kind of sauce - mayonnaise, ketchup or a mixture of them - but there is no need to overload the product with it so that the thin crust does not break through. It must be rolled up tightly, secured with cling film, and placed in the refrigerator for an hour. Do not divide the roll into small pieces, otherwise there is a risk of losing the filling.

Ingredients

  • lavash - 1 pc.
  • Korean carrots - 150 g
  • sausage - 150 g
  • mayonnaise - 60 ml
  • dill - 5 sprigs
  • parsley - 5 sprigs

Preparation

1. As for sausages, boiled, smoked and even dry-cured sausage are perfect. Cut it into small small pieces. If you don’t have sausage in your refrigerator, but have a piece of boiled chicken, chop it finely and add it instead of sausage.

2. Rinse the spicy herbs (parsley and dill in our recipe) and dry. Tear off the leaves and chop finely.

3. The amount of ingredients is calculated for one pita bread measuring 30x40. The recipe calls for mayonnaise, adjust the amount to your taste. You don’t need to add a lot so that the layer doesn’t soften and tear.

Lightly grease the pita bread with mayonnaise. It can be replaced with rich sour cream mixed with grated garlic.

4. Sprinkle chopped herbs over the entire layer.

5. Evenly distribute the Korean carrots onto the layer of greens.

6. Then add the chopped sausage.

7. Carefully wrap it into a tight roll. Wrap with cling film. Place in the refrigerator for about 20-30 minutes. If you don't have any cling film, a plastic bag will do just fine.

Thin, aromatic lavash is a magic wand for housewives; you can use it to prepare many simple, but tasty dishes from available ingredients. This appetizer is served in the form of a roll cut into thin pieces, which allows you to conveniently adjust the size of the portion size. This dish is prepared in just 5-10 minutes, and as a filling you can prepare your favorite foods that are always in the refrigerator, including Korean carrots.

Useful tips for preparing pita bread roll with Korean carrots

How to cook lavash roll with Korean carrots

In this step-by-step recipe, we will tell you how to make a voluminous appetizer for a large-scale celebration with a large number of guests from four layers of pita bread, Korean carrots and cheese.

Preparing carrot salad for roll

  • First, let's prepare the carrot salad. Three vegetables on a Korean grater, salt to taste and leave for 30 minutes.
  • After half an hour, add seasoning to the salad. In a bowl (enamel), mix oil and vinegar and put on fire.
  • As soon as the vinegar in the oil begins to boil, time it for 10-15 seconds and pour the brew into the salad. Mix and put in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

Making the cheese filling for a Korean carrot roll

  • Let's prepare the cheese filling: shave the cheese into large crumbs on a grater and combine with garlic crushed in a crush.
  • Chop the green cilantro very finely, mix the aromatic seasoning with the cheese mixture.

Assembling and soaking the roll

  • Spread a sheet of pita bread on the table, grease with a thin layer of mayonnaise, sprinkle with 1/3 of the cheese, and top with 1/3 of the carrot salad. If you want, you can sprinkle the layer a little with greens.
  • We cover everything with a second sheet of lavash, press it a little with our palms so that the filling becomes compacted, and in the same way place the filling on the second lavash, the third, and then with the fourth we complete the culinary structure.
  • After the “puff” of pita bread and cheese and carrot filling is completed, carefully and tightly roll it into a roll.

  • Place the roll wrapped in plastic on a board and put it with the stand in the refrigerator for half an hour.
  • After the specified time has passed, the roll can be removed from the packaging and cut into portions.

Lavash rolls with Korean carrots and crab sticks

Fans of spicy dishes will definitely like the roll with spicy Korean carrots and crab sticks. You can buy ready-made carrot salad in the store, but it’s better to prepare it at home, because with our own hands we can precisely control the amount of chili pepper in the filling.

If you make carrot salad yourself, use hot seasoning for dressing. And if this spiciness is not enough, then add ground red pepper to taste. You can do the same with a store-bought salad - just add pepper to it and taste it periodically until you reach the spiciness you want.

  1. To prepare such a roll we will need: 100 g of Korean carrots, 1 package of crab sticks, three hard-boiled eggs, cheese (0.1 kg), a couple of fresh cucumbers, 1 layer of pita bread, salt and mayonnaise (60 g).
  2. We flatten the pita bread on the table and grease it with mayonnaise. We place crab sticks one after another along the vertical edge, then visually divide the pita bread into 4 vertical segments, because we will not mix the filling, but will lay it in stripes.
