It is comfortable to study in them, because they are all equipped with comfortable furniture, copying equipment, presentation and multimedia equipment.

A brief excursion into the history of the university

The period of existence of the Stolypin ICU in Saratov was filled with numerous events. The main one is the birth of the university. This moment is associated with 1922, when the Saratov Regional Communist University was opened in the city. Its task was to train agitation and propaganda workers, party and Soviet workers, bankers, Soviet lawyers, and newspapermen.

Subsequent events in the history of the institute were associated with changes in the educational institution. It was transformed into courses, a party school, and a personnel center. In 1994, the university became the Volga Region Academy of Public Service (PAPS), and in 2010 it became part of the RANEPA and received its modern name.

Educational activities at present

The Volga Region Institute of Management implements continuous education. It doesn’t matter what document was received in the past - a school certificate, a diploma of secondary vocational education, a bachelor’s or master’s diploma - at the PUI you can start studying in one of the offered areas at any time.

The educational process is carried out by faculties. In PUI named after. Stolypin there are 7 of them. One of them offers secondary vocational education programs. Several faculties provide training in bachelor's and specialty areas. Master's and postgraduate programs are managed by a separate structural unit.

Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education

This is a structural subdivision in PUI named after. Stolypin RANEPA has existed for about 18 years. Over the years, more than 1,200 specialists with secondary vocational education have been trained for the city and region. All graduates have the necessary knowledge and skills for effective work in areas related to economics, management, law, municipal and public administration.

The faculty does not plan to stop at the achieved figures. He continues to train people wishing to receive secondary vocational education. Today the educational process is conducted in 3 specialties:

  • "The Law and Organization of Social Security."
  • "Property and land relations."
  • “Economics and accounting (by industry).”

At the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education at PUI named after. Stolypin has both budget and paid places. The cost of training for paid places depends on the specialty. Students who choose “Economics and Accounting (by Industry)” and “Law and Social Security Organization” pay about 42 thousand rubles per year. On “Property and Land Relations” the cost of training is a little more than 50 thousand rubles.

Faculty of Municipal and Public Administration

One of the structural divisions implementing in PUI named after. Stolypin (PAGS) program of higher professional education, is the Faculty of Municipal and Public Administration. He has gone through a long path of formation and development. It’s not for nothing that they talk about it as one of the oldest faculties of the university. This structural unit has trained several hundred graduates. Among them are politicians, public figures, scientists, successful businessmen and managers.

The faculty implements those educational programs that are basic for the profile of the university:

  1. "Municipal and public administration" (bachelor's degree). This is a popular direction at the university. It attracts applicants with its universal education. Graduates successfully apply the knowledge acquired in “Municipal and State Administration” both in the public service and in commercial structures.
  2. “Organization of work with youth” (bachelor’s degree). This is also a fairly universal direction at the PUI named after. Stolypin, since it allows you to work in government and non-government organizations, public associations and deal with the implementation of youth policy in the fields of law, labor, culture, science and education, sports, etc.
  3. "Customs" (specialty). This program is quite interesting, because it involves serious economic training with an emphasis on the legal block. It also includes management disciplines.

Faculty of Political and Legal Management

This is another structural unit at the Stolypin Pedagogical University that implements higher professional education programs. It has existed at the university for 18 years. Initially, the department was called the Faculty of Law. The current name was assigned in 2004.

The faculty began its activities with a small number of educational programs. Today there are 6 of them - “Jurisprudence”, “Legal Support of National Security”, “Advertising and Public Relations”, “Political Science”, “Conflict Studies”, “Foreign Regional Studies”. The latter program is of particular interest to applicants, because it includes the study of English and German.

Faculty of Economics and Management

This unit has been operating within the structure of the Stolypin Institute of National Economy and Public Administration of RANEPA since 1998. It trains students in 3 areas:

  • "Economy".
  • "Personnel Management".
  • "Management".

Each educational program offered by the institute is interesting. “Economics” trains general economists who know about commodity-money relations and the distribution of material wealth in the world and the state. Students learn to engage in financial and economic planning, evaluate management decisions, analyze economic statistics and draw conclusions.

The “Human Resources Management” direction trains specialists who are capable of creating a powerful and ambitious team in business. Teachers offer students to master methods of personnel selection and assessment, development techniques, training and motivation of employees in accordance with the company's goals.

In the last direction from the above list, managers are trained. This is one of the most in-demand professions in the world. During their studies, students study disciplines related to economics, finance, management, sociology, psychology, and information technology. The acquired knowledge is subsequently formed from students with a wide profile who are able to carry out financial management of the company, work as personnel managers, advertising managers, etc.

Faculty of Second Professional Education

Organizations and companies often seek to hire people who have knowledge from different scientific fields and are able to solve problems in related fields. To train such specialists, the Volga Region Institute of Management opened a faculty of second vocational education 15 years ago.

In the structural unit, training is carried out in the most popular areas - “Economics”, “Jurisprudence”, “Municipal and Public Administration”. Training is conducted by correspondence. Widely at the faculty of PUI named after. Stolypin uses distance technologies, but their use does not mean that there is no need to come to the university. Traditional teaching methods are also involved in the educational process - lectures, seminars, and practical classes.

Faculty of Master's and Postgraduate Studies

At the Volga Region Institute of Management, a young structural unit is the Faculty of Master's and Postgraduate Studies. It was opened in 2012. This event was an important step in the educational institution’s transition to level training.

The Faculty of Master's and Postgraduate Studies is designed for people who have a bachelor's, specialist's or master's degree and want to expand their knowledge in the field of finance, economics, management, law, information technology, socio-political relations, and pedagogy.

Faculty of Higher School of Public Administration

In the structure of the Stolypin PMU existing in Saratov, there is also a faculty called “Higher School of Public Administration.” Applicants may not pay attention to it, since it was not created for them. It is aimed at municipal and state employees, employees of municipal and state enterprises, and managers who require additional professional education.

But providing educational services is not the only task of the faculty. The structural unit is also engaged in conducting sociological research on current issues of municipal and state administration, developing and testing innovative personnel technologies.

Tuition fees for higher education programs

Higher education at the Volga Region Institute of Management can be obtained free of charge, because there are budget places in the areas and specialties. Unfortunately, there are not many of them, so applicants are often interested in the cost of educational services. It depends on the direction (specialty) and form of training:

  1. Full-time tuition fees are about 79 thousand rubles per year for bachelor's programs and about 88 thousand rubles per year for master's programs. The exception is the direction of “Advertising and Public Relations”. For a bachelor's degree the cost exceeds 90 thousand rubles, and for a master's degree - 100 thousand rubles.
  2. At the correspondence department of PUI named after. Stolypin in bachelor's and master's degrees, the cost of training is the same. It is about 38 thousand rubles.

Obtaining a second higher education is possible only on a paid basis. Students pay 38 thousand per year in all areas of training and specialties. Such a low price is explained by the fact that training is conducted only through correspondence courses using distance learning technologies.

Project “Become a student now”: introduction to university specialties

Each specialty of the Volga Region Institute of Management is interesting, prestigious, relevant and in demand in the modern world. Because of this, applicants have difficulty choosing a future profession. University staff help you make the right decision. Help in making a choice is provided thanks to the implemented project called “Become a Student Now.” Its essence lies in inviting schoolchildren to university classes during the holidays.

To participate in the project, schoolchildren need to fill out a form on the official website of the institute, indicate the area of study they are interested in and a convenient day for classes. Persons who have expressed a desire to visit the university are invited to lectures, seminars, trainings, master classes with leading teachers of the institute. While participating in the project, schoolchildren not only get acquainted with student life, but also learn the features of their chosen specialties and get an idea of their future work.

In conclusion, it is worth noting that the Volga Region Institute of Management (PIU named after Stolypin RANEPA, former PAGS Saratov) is an interesting educational institution. Applicants who have not yet chosen a university for further study should consider this option.

The Volga Region Institute of Management named after P. A. Stolypin (or PAGS) is a university specializing in the training of officials and civil servants. It was founded in the 22nd year of the 20th century, when a communist university was created on the basis of an educational institution for girls to train party cadres.

Institute today

Since 2010, the Stolypin Institute has been part of RANEPA. At the moment, the number of students studying is 11,000 people. The cost of training is from 70,240 rubles for one year of full-time study. However, it is worth noting that the university also has budget places, and a quota has also been allocated for citizens from the Republic of Crimea. As a large scientific and educational center, the university is designed to fill the need of the Volga region for officials and other civil servants. However, graduates find work in other parts of the country.

According to available statistics, more than 60% of graduates who received diplomas in 2015 were employed, and every tenth This is not surprising, because the university cooperates with almost all relevant potential employers in the region - these are government agencies, municipal administrations, branches of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation , regional courts, etc.

Large banks and media outlets are also becoming popular places for devices. Those who have received legal training are looking for work in law and notary offices.

Education programs

The Volga Region Institute of Management named after P. A. Stolypin includes seven faculties:

  • Economics and management - for the training of management personnel capable of proving themselves both in business structures and in the civil service.
  • Political and legal management - trains specialists in the field of "jurisprudence", as well as political scientists and conflictologists.
  • State and municipal administration - personnel reserve for government bodies.
  • “Higher School of Public Administration” - to organize advanced training for current officials.
  • Second higher education.
  • Master's and postgraduate courses.
  • Department for training in pre-university and secondary vocational education programs.

The latter faculty is largely not aimed at providing training in the specialties “Management” and “Jurisprudence” as such. The main task of the department is to prepare future students for higher education and admission to the Volga Region Institute of Management named after. P. A. Stolypin.

In total, the university has 23 departments that produce specialists, in accordance with the profile of the Scientific and teaching staff - more than 300 employees, most of whom have academic degrees.

PAGS currently ranks seventh among other educational institutions in the Saratov region according to the ranking of universities.

Partnership programs

In addition to broad mutual integration with other structural divisions of RANEPA, the Volga Region Institute of Management named after P. A. Stolypin no less actively interacts with foreign universities and major Russian universities. The general goals of this program are as follows:

  • first of all, this is the exchange of students and young scientists in international affairs;
  • holding international conferences in the Volga region;
  • receiving international grants;
  • accumulation of experience for consultations with Russian authorities on international issues.

Successful PAGS students undergo six-month training in Slovakia and Belgium within the framework of concluded agreements. It is important to note that full visa support for students is provided. Also, the teaching staff and students of the university have the opportunity to publish their scientific works in periodicals of foreign partners.

Scientific activity

The Volga Region Institute of Management named after P. A. Stolypin, in turn, serves as a platform for posting articles in Russian by scientists from abroad. On an ongoing basis, the university operates programs to exchange accumulated knowledge and improve the level of qualifications for partners from near and far abroad.

The main priorities in the scientific activities of the institution remain the development and implementation of modern management programs in government agencies. In view of the new political and economic challenges that Russia faces, the competent distribution of human resources and their level of qualifications becomes especially relevant.

Thus, the Stolypin Academy today is far from the last university that is worth paying attention to both for applicants upon admission and for young scientists and graduate students who would like to find themselves in scientific work.
